Every year on 5th December people around the world celebrate Volunteers Day. It is a day of events, actions and smiles. For last two years also Volunteers Centre Skopje is organizing special celebration for all thevolunteers and those who support ideas of volunteerism. From 4th to 12th of December we give you a chance to participate in various workshops and explore your creativity together with volunteers from Macedonia and from more than ten different European countries. You can learn to make origami, to take better photos, to discover secret of creativewriting or meet others on theatre stage...

All the workshops will be lead by international volunteers and main working language will be English. The participation is free of charge. Origami workshop
In this workshop we will discover the secret of traditional Japanese art of paper folding and we will learn how to change one piece of paper without glue or scissors into the piece of art.

Juggling workshop
Learn to prepare your own juggling equipment and basics of juggling with balls, pojas and devil sticks, as well as see exciting performance of juggling with fire! If you have no previous experience you will learn to juggle with three balls in the air, and if you are ready for more - fire juggling will be just for you.

Creative writing
Creative writing is one of the ways how to improve self-expression, writing and communication skills.
Workshop will be interesting for those who would like to learn how to express thoughts, ideas, how to catch a moment. We will try different techniques and exercises, we will try to write short texts and we will share our words with each other. Why the paper should stay white when we have pen, paper and open mind? Let’s write! Workshop is open for high school and university students; good English level is required.

Debate
Debating is the act of arguing with rules. Debate can be a challenging and exciting game if you love fighting and playing with words, to provocate and amaze... Participation in debate teaches you to formulate strong arguments and improves your public speaking skills. In the workshop we will introduce introducing a form of the debating format which is used at a variety of different debating competitions around the world and have first practice rounds of debating.

Theatre workshop
In this workshop we will get to know the world of theatre. We will start with basic theatre exercises and warm-up games and we will continue with theater exercises that will give you a chance to explore actor in yourself and to improve your improvisation and creative skills. No previous experiences with theater are needed. Workshop is open for participants in age from 16 to 22.

Indian dance
Through this workshop we will discover the secret of Indian Dance. At the beginning leader of the workshop will show you short choreography which we will learn together. Everybody who likes dance and moving is welcome.

Djembe play
In this workshop we will learn how to play djembe, which is kind of drum shaped like goblet and meant to be played by bare hands. The djembe will be not the only instrument in the room. We will connect it with sound of guitar and we will see what will happen. We are expecting at least good concert at the end. Take with you your djembe or other music instruments, if you have.

Photo Basics
Do you really know how to use your digital camera? Do you really know how to use your even simple camera? If not, or if you would like to know more, take a part in our photo workshop. Together we will learn the basic rules of photography and much more…

Old to new
In workshop called Old Clothes are not for Garbage we will make from old clothes new, original one. We will take our old T-Shirts and make new ones. Why? Because in nowadays world there is too many material things, too much waste. So we will try to change this situation and in a creative way give our clothes new life. Take with you: old T-shirts, and if you have needles, thread, buttons, and ribbons.

and Tea with EVS volunteers
In an informal meeting with young people from different countries who are now volunteering in Macedonia and volunteers from Macedonia who have been working abroad you will get to know about opportunities to gain work experience in social and cultural project all arount Europe and learn more about European Voluntary Service program.
