Name: Mile Dimkoski Date of birth: 30.04.1989 Country: Bulgaria Durration of Project: 22/02/2009 - 14/12/2009 Description of Project: We were working with little scouts, helping them in the activities and playing some games with them. In couple of days the kids started to like us and we were satisfied. That’s also something new for us and it was like learning together with them, how to be a scout and that was the fun part. We were also learning how online radio works. In the Center there is also a Youth Online Radio, Radio ORV, and it’s a new experience for us and it’s very interesting and it was a pleasure to be a part of the team that works there, we also participated in radio program. EVS impressions: We had some problems with the visas but that’s another story. The day has come, we arrived in Varna, the first “culture shock” was in the train, with Bulgarian head gestures, I think the picture says everything. Like all Volunteers are saying, the first week was hard to accommodate and we had another cultural crash with the social environment, because its hard to be Macedonian in Bulgaria, but that was our challenge. After the period for adopting, everything was like suppose to be. We are two Macedonian guys on the “Culture Bridges” Project in Varna.
